MGA Returns to Live Events with MGS GAMES

MGA is pleased to announce a new, innovative hybrid strategy for their next edition of MGS GAMES, taking place at San Francisco Jazz Center on September 30th, 2021, and across an online portal. During the one-day event, members of the mobile community are invited to attend panels, workshops, and conferences from respected industry figures, including Google, Snapchat, Electronic Arts, GamesBeat, 5×5 Gaming, and more influential names within the industry.

“We at Mobile Growth Association are looking forward to bringing the mobile gaming community back together after over a year apart,” says Jen Laloup, Co-Founder, Chairwoman & CEO of MGA. “We will explore the gaming community’s challenges, triumphs, and everything in between at our first hybrid event — MGS GAMES We will gather — safely, of course — in a physical space in San Francisco, as well as online. By hosting these progressive events, we offer the Mobile Games Community a chance to share knowledge and network globally. MGS GAMES attendees from around the world will be able to learn from the best industry professionals in the game and share in a way like never before.”

MGS GAMES is a hybrid event offering multiple ticket options for those who want to attend in person, as well as a virtual pass for people who aren’t ready to travel yet. Double-sided incentives allow attendees to use a personalized code to offer a discount to friends and colleagues while earning a partial rebate on their own pass.

“I’m truly looking forward to speaking at MGS GAMES this year. As you know MGS has been a long-term strategic partner of Google’s AppDev speaking team as their audience is at the heart of the gaming ecosystem,” says Brandon Cubillas, Head of Industry – App Gaming at Google. “The industry is experiencing a time of outsized growth requiring a new set of business, marketing, and development considerations as games look to acquire and retain and engage gamers. Not only that, the profile of a typical gamer has changed and is drawn to more social, sophisticated, and unique gaming experiences. As we look ahead to what comes next, games must think about measurement, monetization, and prioritizing differently.”

“GamesBeat is happy to support MGA as it returns to physical events with MGS GAMES. I look forward to moderating a session on the direction of mobile gaming at the event,” says Dean Takahashi, lead writer for GamesBeat at VentureBeat.

“We’re thrilled to be back on stage at MGS GAMES this year,” says Meena Kallu, Head of Mobile Games, Snap Inc, North America.

Mobile gaming has seen incredible growth within the Snap ecosystem and beyond, and there’s no better time to connect with the people and companies who are driving the industry forward than at MGS GAMES. As the industry continues to shift and expand, we look forward to working with our partners and the mobile gaming community to embrace these changes as we step into the future.”
